You are waiting to pull out of a junction. Why must you look carefully for motorcyclists?

  • They always have right of way at junctions
  • They are noisy and easy to hear
  • They are small and hard to see, and may be closer than they look
    Correct
  • They must stop for you at every junction

Why?

Rule 211 of The Highway Code says it is often hard to see motorcyclists and cyclists, especially coming out of junctions, and they may be approaching faster than you think. Take a second look before you emerge.
