Signs that give information or directions are usually which shape?

Why?

The shape tells you a sign's purpose. Rectangular signs give information or directions, such as the name of a place or a car park. Circles give orders and triangles give warnings. Rule 109 of The Highway Code says you must obey all traffic signs, whatever their shape.
