At traffic lights a green arrow points right, beside a red main light. What does the green arrow allow?

You may ignore the red light for all directions
You may turn right or go straight ahead
You may move only in the direction of the arrow
Correct
You must wait until the full green light shows

Why?

Rule 177 of The Highway Code says a green filter arrow lets you move only in the direction shown by the arrow, even if the main light is red. Enter the filter lane only if you want to go that way, and give cyclists time and room.
