Why should you clear snow off the roof of your car before setting off?
- It makes the car look tidier
- It adds too much weight to the roof
- It could slide onto your windscreen or into the path of other road usersCorrect
- It is only needed on motorways
Why?
Rule 229 of The Highway Code says that as well as clearing the windows you should remove any snow that might fall off into the path of other road users or slide down onto your own windscreen and block your view while you are driving.
