You are approaching a zebra crossing and a pedestrian is waiting at the kerb to cross. What should you do?
- Carry on, as they have not stepped onto the crossing yet
- Slow down and be ready to stop to let them crossCorrect

Why?
Pedestrians waiting to cross at a zebra crossing have priority. Rule 195 of The Highway Code says you should give way to pedestrians waiting to cross, and you must give way once they have moved onto the crossing. Slow down and be ready to stop.
