A police officer asks to see your documents, but you don't have them with you. What can you do?

- Refuse, since you're not required to carry documentsترفض، لأنك غير مُلزَم بحمل المستندات

لماذا؟
لست مُلزَماً بحمل مستنداتك في السيارة، لكن إذا طلبها شرطي ولم تكن معك، ينص الملحق الثالث (Annex 3) من قانون الطريق على أنه يمكنك إظهار تأمينك وشهادة فحص MOT ورخصة القيادة في مركز شرطة من اختيارك خلال 7 أيام.
You don't have to carry your documents in the car, but if a police officer asks and you don't have them, Annex 3 of The Highway Code says you can produce your insurance, MOT certificate and driving licence at a police station of your choice within 7 days.
