لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 275 من قانون الطريق على استخدام هاتف الطوارئ على جانب الطريق مفضَّلاً على الهاتف المحمول — فهو يصلك مباشرة بعامل تشغيل ويحدّد موقعك بدقة. واجه حركة السير القادمة أثناء الحديث، واذكر إن كنت من مستخدمي الطريق الأكثر عرضة للخطر.
Rule 275 of The Highway Code says you should use an emergency roadside telephone in preference to a mobile phone — it connects you directly to an operator and pinpoints your exact location. Face the oncoming traffic while you speak, and mention if you're a vulnerable motorist.
