Someone is injured in a collision and you could not show your insurance details at the scene. What must you do?
أُصيب شخص في اصطدام ولم تستطع إظهار بيانات تأمينك في الموقع. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Nothing at all, as long as you were not at faultلا شيء إطلاقاً، ما دمت لست المخطئ
- Wait for the other driver to contact you firstانتظر أن يتصل بك السائق الآخر أولاً
- Report it only if the injury turns out to be seriousأبلغ فقط إذا تبيّن أن الإصابة خطيرة
- Report it to the police within 24 hours and produce your insurance certificate within seven daysأبلغ الشرطة خلال 24 ساعة وقدّم شهادة تأمينك (insurance certificate) خلال سبعة أيامإجابة صحيحة
لماذا؟
تنص القاعدتان 286 و287 من قانون الطريق على أنه إذا أُصيب شخص ولم تعطِ بيانات تأمينك في الموقع، فيجب أن تبلّغ الشرطة عن الاصطدام في أقرب وقت ممكن، وعلى أي حال خلال 24 ساعة، وأن تقدّم شهادة التأمين (insurance certificate) للشرطة خلال سبعة أيام.
Rules 286 and 287 of The Highway Code say that if someone is injured and you don't give your insurance details at the scene, you must report the collision to the police as soon as you can, and in any case within 24 hours, and produce your insurance certificate for the police within seven days.
