لماذا؟
السيارة المتروكة والمحرك يعمل دون أحد بداخلها سهلة السرقة وتهدر الوقود. تنص القاعدة 123 من قانون الطريق على أنه يجب ألّا تترك مركبة متوقفة دون مراقبة ومحركها دائر، وتضيف القاعدة 239 أنه يجب دائمًا قفلها ونزع المفتاح.
A car left running with nobody in it is easy to steal and wastes fuel. Rule 123 of The Highway Code says you must not leave a parked vehicle unattended with the engine running, and Rule 239 adds that you should always lock it and remove the key.
