Attitude

On a single-track road, a vehicle is coming towards you. There is a passing place on your left. What should you do?

  • Drive on and expect the other driver to reverse
  • Stop in the middle of the road and wait
  • Pull into the passing place on your left
    Correct
  • Sound your horn and keep moving forward

Why?

Rule 155 says on single-track roads you should pull into a passing place on your left, or wait opposite one on your right, if a vehicle is coming towards you. This lets both of you continue without either having to reverse a long way.
