A cycle lane next to you is marked with a broken (dashed) white line. What does this mean?
- You may park in it freely at any time
- You must never enter it under any circumstances
- It works exactly like a bus lane for cars
- You should not drive or park in it unless unavoidableCorrect
Why?
Rule 140 says you should not drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a broken white line unless it is unavoidable. Keeping out of it wherever you can leaves cyclists the room they need.
