Attitude

You are turning into a road and a pedestrian has already started to cross it ahead of you. Who has priority?

  • You do, because you are in a vehicle
  • Whoever moves first into the junction
  • The pedestrian, who has already started to cross
    Correct
  • Neither, so you should both stop and wait

Why?

Rule 170 says that if a pedestrian has started to cross a road into which you are turning, they have priority. Wait and let them finish crossing safely before you complete your turn.
