On a motorway with three or more lanes, which vehicle is not allowed to use the right-hand lane?

Why?
Rule 265 of The Highway Code bans certain vehicles from the right-hand lane of a motorway with three or more lanes. These include goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, vehicles towing a trailer, and larger passenger vehicles, unless other lanes are closed.
