Mini-roundabout — give way to traffic from the right

You see this blue sign. As well as giving way, what extra care does rule 188 of the Highway Code ask for here?

  • You have priority, so you need not slow down
  • You may make a U-turn freely, as there is plenty of space
  • You should stop completely, as at a STOP sign
  • Pass round the central markings and avoid making a U-turn
    Correct

Why?

Treat this the same as any roundabout, but with less room. Rule 188 of The Highway Code says all vehicles must pass round the central markings, except large vehicles that physically cannot, and you should avoid making a U-turn. There is less space and less time to signal.
