At a roundabout you are taking an exit to the right. When should you signal left?

  • As soon as you approach the roundabout
  • You do not need to signal at all
  • The moment you enter the roundabout
  • After you pass the exit just before the one you want

Why?

Rule 186 of The Highway Code says that when taking an exit to the right or going full circle you approach in the right-hand lane signalling right, then signal left only after you pass the exit just before the one you want.
