The Highway Code says your lights, indicators, reflectors and number plates MUST be kept how?
- Fitted with coloured bulbs to look distinctive
- Clean and clear so they can be seenCorrect
- Covered with tinted film to reduce glare
- Switched off in daylight to save the battery
Why?
Dirt can hide your lights and plates from other road users. Annex 6 of The Highway Code says lights, indicators, reflectors and number plates must be kept clean and clear, and windows free from anything that blocks your view.
