You are so close to the car ahead that it fills your view and you cannot see far past it. What does this mean?

You are a safe distance back
You are driving well and can relax
The car ahead is too slow
You are tailgating and should drop back

Why?

Rule 126 of The Highway Code warns against getting too close to the vehicle in front. Being so near that it fills your view means you are tailgating; ease off gently to restore at least a two-second gap.
