You're on a single-track road and a car is coming towards you. There is a passing place on your left. What should you do?
- Pull into the passing place on your left and let the other car passCorrect
- Drive into a passing place on your right and wait there
- Carry on and expect the other driver to reverse
- Stop in the middle of the road and flash your lights
Why?
Rule 155 of The Highway Code says that on single-track roads, if a vehicle is coming towards you, you should pull into a passing place on your left, or wait opposite one on your right. Passing places must not be used for parking.
