You're on a single-track road and a car is coming towards you. There is a passing place on your left. What should you do?
أنت على طريق أحادي المسار (single-track road) وسيارة قادمة نحوك. توجد نقطة تجاوز (passing place) على يسارك. ماذا تفعل؟
- Pull into the passing place on your left and let the other car passادخل نقطة التجاوز على يسارك ودع السيارة الأخرى تمرّإجابة صحيحة
- Drive into a passing place on your right and wait thereادخل نقطة تجاوز على يمينك وانتظر فيها
- Carry on and expect the other driver to reverseواصل وتوقّع أن يرجع السائق الآخر للخلف
- Stop in the middle of the road and flash your lightsقف في منتصف الطريق وأومض بأضوائك
لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 155 من قانون الطريق على أنه في الطرق أحادية المسار، إن جاءت مركبة نحوك، تدخل نقطة تجاوز (passing place) على يسارك، أو تنتظر مقابل واحدة على يمينك. ولا تُستعمل نقاط التجاوز لركن السيارات.
Rule 155 of The Highway Code says that on single-track roads, if a vehicle is coming towards you, you should pull into a passing place on your left, or wait opposite one on your right. Passing places must not be used for parking.
