A pedestrian is carrying a white cane. What does this tell you?
- They are a traffic warden on duty
- They can hear your vehicle clearly
- They want you to stop and give them a lift
- They may be blind or partially sighted and might not see you approachingCorrect
Why?
Rule 207 of The Highway Code explains that a white cane shows the person may be blind or partially sighted. They may not see you, so give them plenty of time and extra care.
