Vulnerable road users
A pedestrian at the kerb has a dog wearing a harness. What should you assume?
- The person may be blind or deaf, so give them extra time and careCorrect

- The person can see you and will wait for you to pass
- You have priority because they are not moving
Why?
Rule 207 of The Highway Code notes that an assistance dog may mean the person is blind, or deafblind if the dog has a red and white harness. Give them extra time and care.
