A motorcyclist has been knocked off their bike and is lying injured in the road. What should you do?
سقط سائق دراجة نارية عن دراجته وهو مستلقٍ مصاباً على الطريق. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Take off their helmet at once so they can breatheانزع خوذته فوراً حتى يستطيع التنفّس
- Move them to the pavement as quickly as you canانقله إلى الرصيف بأسرع ما يمكن
- Leave the helmet on unless it is essential to remove itاترك الخوذة (helmet) في مكانها إلا إذا كان نزعها ضرورياًإجابة صحيحة
- Sit them up and give them a warm drinkأجلسه وأعطِه مشروباً دافئاً
لماذا؟
قد يؤدي تحريك المصاب بطريقة خاطئة إلى زيادة إصاباته سوءاً. ينص الملحق السابع (Annex 7) من قانون الطريق على عدم نزع خوذة سائق الدراجة النارية إلا إذا كان ذلك ضرورياً، وعلى عدم تحريك المصاب إلا إذا كان في خطر. تحقّق من الخطر والاستجابة ومجرى الهواء والتنفّس والدورة الدموية (DR ABC) واتصل بخدمات الطوارئ.
Moving an injured person the wrong way can make their injuries worse. Annex 7 of The Highway Code says you should not remove a motorcyclist's helmet unless it is essential, and you should not move an injured person unless they are in danger. Check for Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and Circulation (DR ABC) and call the emergency services.
