Why does the caravan's nose weight on the tow ball matter?
لماذا يهمّ وزن مقدمة المقطورة السكنية (nose weight) على كرة القطر (tow ball)؟

لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 98 من قانون الطريق على ضمان حمل نازل مناسب على كرة القطر (tow ball) وعدم تجاوز حدّ الصانع. فوزن المقدمة (nose weight) القليل جداً يترك المقطورة السكنية تتمايل، بينما الكثير جداً يُثقل المحور الخلفي للسيارة؛ والمثالي عادةً حمل نازل صغير نحو 5 إلى 7 بالمئة من الوزن المحمّل.
Rule 98 of The Highway Code says to ensure a suitable download on the tow ball and not to exceed the maker's limit. Too little nose weight lets the caravan snake, while too much overloads the car's rear axle; the ideal is usually a small download of about 5 to 7 percent of the laden weight.
