You want to fit a rear-facing baby seat in the front passenger seat. When is this allowed?
تريد تركيب مقعد رضيع موجّه للخلف (rear-facing) في مقعد الراكب الأمامي. متى يُسمح بذلك؟
- Whenever the baby is under six months oldكلما كان عمر الرضيع دون ستة أشهر

لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 101 من قانون الطريق على أنه يجب ألّا يُستخدم أبداً مقعد الرضيع الموجّه للخلف (rear-facing) في مقعد محميّ بوسادة هوائية أمامية مفعّلة (airbag). فلا يمكنك تركيبه في الأمام إلّا إذا عُطّلت تلك الوسادة (deactivated)، وإلّا فقد تصطدم بالمقعد بقوة كبيرة في الحادث.
Rule 101 of The Highway Code says a rear-facing baby seat must never be used in a seat protected by an active frontal airbag. You may only fit one in the front if that airbag has been deactivated, otherwise it could strike the seat with great force in a crash.
