Attitude

You are driving a slow vehicle and notice a long queue of traffic building up behind you. What should you do?

  • Pull in where it is safe and let the traffic pass
    Correct
  • Keep going and ignore the vehicles behind you
  • Speed up beyond a safe speed to clear the queue
  • Brake now and then to make them keep their distance

Why?

Rule 169 says do not hold up a long queue of traffic, especially if you are driving a large or slow-moving vehicle. Check your mirrors often and, where it is safe, pull in and let the traffic behind you pass.
