Your car has gone into deep water and is starting to fill up. How should you try to get out?
- Wait until the car is completely full before opening a door
- Get out through a window as quickly as you can, before the water risesCorrect
- Stay inside and wait for the water to go down
- Phone for advice before doing anything else
Why?
If your vehicle is sinking in water, the safest advice is to release your seatbelt and get everyone out through a window straight away, before the water rises and the electric windows stop working. Doors are very hard to open against deep water, so do not wait for the car to fill.
