You are first at a crash but you have no first aid training. What is the most useful thing you can do?

Nothing, because only trained people can help
Move all the casualties to make them comfortable
Give the casualties food and drink while they wait
Call 999, warn other traffic and stay until help arrives

Why?

Annex 7 of The Highway Code shows that even without training you can save lives. Call the emergency services on 999 or 112, warn other traffic, switch off engines, and keep casualties still and reassured until trained help arrives. Do not move injured people unless they are in danger.
