What do red reflective road studs mark on the road at night?

Why?
Reflective road studs help you judge the road in the dark. Rule 132 of The Highway Code says red studs mark the left edge of the carriageway, white studs mark the lanes or middle, amber studs mark the central reservation, and green studs mark the edge at lay-bys and slip roads.
