Rules of the road
You are on a narrow single-track road and a car comes towards you. What should you do?
- Pull into a passing place on your left, or wait opposite one on your rightCorrect
- Reverse at speed until they have passed
- Drive onto the grass verge and squeeze past
- Stop in the middle and wait for them to move
Why?
On a single-track road, Rule 155 of The Highway Code says that if a vehicle comes towards you, you should pull into a passing place on your left, or wait opposite one on your right.
