Why should you make sure your wipers work and the screenwash bottle is filled?
- So the car passes an emissions test
- Because full screenwash makes the engine run cooler
- So you can drive without headlights in the rain
- So you can clear rain, spray and dirt and keep a clear viewCorrect
Why?
Rain, mud and spray can quickly blind you if you cannot wash the screen. Annex 6 of The Highway Code lists wipers and washers among the parts that must work, so check the blades and keep the screenwash topped up before a journey.
