After going over a bump, your car keeps bouncing up and down several times. What does this suggest?

The tyres are over-inflated and perfect
The brakes are working extra well
Nothing, as all cars bounce like this
The shock absorbers or suspension may be worn and should be checked

Why?

Good shock absorbers settle the car quickly after a bump; if it keeps bouncing they are probably worn, which reduces grip and control. Annex 6 of The Highway Code says the suspension must be in good order, so have it checked.
