Why must a pet be properly restrained while you drive?
- So it cannot distract you or injure anyone if you stop suddenlyCorrect

- Because pets are otherwise banned from cars
- So that you can drive faster
Why?
Rule 57 of The Highway Code requires animals to be suitably restrained. An unrestrained pet can move about, block your view or distract you, and would be thrown forward in a sudden stop, injuring itself and the people in the car.
