A casualty has a piece of glass stuck in a bleeding wound. How should you try to control the bleeding?

- Pull the glass out, then press on the woundاسحب الزجاج ثم اضغط على الجرح

لماذا؟
ينص الملحق السابع (Annex 7) من قانون الطريق على أنه إذا كان هناك شيء مغروز في الجرح فيجب ألّا تضغط عليه أو تنزعه. بل كوّم ضمادات على جانبيه لتتمكّن من الضغط حوله. فنزعه قد يسبّب نزيفاً أشدّ بكثير.
Annex 7 of The Highway Code says that if something is embedded in a wound you should not press on it or pull it out. Instead build up padding on either side of the object so you can press around it. Removing it could cause much heavier bleeding.
