Your doctor gives you medicine that may make you drowsy. What should you do before driving?
- Take a lower dose so you can still drive
- Drive only if you feel alert at the time
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist whether it is safe to driveCorrect

Why?
Medicines that cause drowsiness impair your driving just as alcohol does, and you can be prosecuted for driving while unfit. Rule 90 of The Highway Code says you must not drive under the influence of medicine that affects you, and you should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
