When are you allowed to use your full-beam headlights?
- At any time, as long as it helps you see
- When following closely behind another vehicle
- Only when they will not dazzle other road usersCorrect
- Whenever you drive through a lit town at night
Why?
Rule 114 says you MUST NOT use any lights in a way that would dazzle or cause discomfort to other road users, including pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. So full beam is only for when the road ahead is clear of others who could be dazzled.
