The inside of your windscreen keeps misting up and blocking your view. What is the best action?
- Wipe it with your hand while you keep driving
- Open no windows and carry on, as it will clear itself
- Use the demister and heated screen to keep the glass clearCorrect
- Spray water on the inside of the glass
Why?
A misted screen hides hazards just like dirt does. Annex 6 of The Highway Code lists demisters among the systems that must work, so use the demister, air vents and any heated windscreen to keep your view clear rather than wiping with your hand.
