Before driving, why should you check your mirrors are clean and correctly set?

So the car looks tidy inside
Because mirrors must be tinted by law
So you can see clearly behind and to the sides while driving
Correct
Because mirrors help cool the engine

Why?

You rely on your mirrors to know what is happening around you. Annex 6 of The Highway Code requires mirrors to be fitted and in good order, so keep them clean and adjust them for a full view before you move off.
